How to Find & DIY *FREE* Furniture
We love finding free furniture wherever we can get it! We will find curb furniture, check craigslist and look at other resources to get some good deals on furniture. We don't always find the best looking furniture but whenever we find something that has potential we will take it and see what we can do with it!
On a little trip we found these two awfully ugly red and wood chairs! Due to the material and the way it was attached we weren't able to re-upholster the chairs, however I had a better idea!
Supplies
Sand Paper
Spray Paint
Chair Covers
Step One
We started off DIYing these chairs by sanding the legs. We knew that the chair covers we were going to get would cover everything except the legs.
Step Two
After sanding the legs we spray painted them to match this table that we also had and knew they would work with! It is a beige off-white color. We did a couple of coats but did it slowly as to not mess up the color.
Step Three
We then got these chair covers from Bed, Bath and Beyond. We knew we wanted them to have a yellow tint to match the table. We placed them over the chairs and they actually fit very well!
