How we designed our Airbnb Properties | Before & After
We are walking through how we designed some of our first Airbnb properties! Here are some before and after photos and a little info about how we designed each property and why.
When we are designing any of our properties we always think about the type of guest that is going to be booking and the space we have to work with. Enjoy these before & after transformations!
Adventure Stay
The first property is one we call the Adventure Stay! This property is located just outside of Denver, Colorado and it is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom basement unit. With this property our goal was to brighten up the space, transform the window well, and create a homey environment.
Before
After
We started by panting accent walls a sea-foam color and matching patterns and fabrics in the unit with that same color. The white electric fireplace gives it a cozy feel. We changed out all of the lights for brighter LED bulbs to brighten the basement. We updated the furniture and cleaned out and completely reimagined the window well.
Vibrant Eclectic
This property is a one bedroom, one bathroom slightly modern condo. We wanted to create a funky and eclectic space using pops of color and quirky furnishings. Mix patterns and colors to create an eclectic space. When you have a more bland space, you can make it look much more unique and interesting by confusing the eye. If you give the eye a lot to look at and different colors and patterns then the space will feel a lot more put together.
Trendy Bohemian
This is another more loft-type condo. With this property our goal was to make a more bohemian, grungy type of space with tons of plants, wood grains and keeping everything else neutral with white, grey and black. The only pops of color are really the greens from the plants, the occasional muted color from a crystal and then the brown wood grains. This color palette keeps everything really natural feeling.
Vintage Cottage
The goal with vintage cottage was to use up the furniture we had. The furniture we were able to acquire had a vintage feel to it. Additionally the property itself was in desperate need of an update. The floors got updated but even with that the kitchen still gave the property an older feel to it. What we decided to do was embrace the "older" feel and center our design around making the space feel like a vintage little cottage in the middle of the city!
